Second Incident In A Week In Delhi, Speeding SUV Runs Over Three People, One Killed

In the second incident of drunk driving in the national capital this week, a driver who was allegedly in an inebriated state ran over his SUV over three people standing near a footpath in Central Delhi, killing one of them.

 

Police said the incident took place near Shanti Van around 11.15 PM Wednesday night when the driver, identified as Satyaprakash and a resident of Rohini area, lost control over the vehicle.

Campa Cola society demolition case: See in pics how BMC officials were forced to leave!

The residents of Campa Cola society didn’t allow the BMC authorities to enter the compound on Friday due to which they were forced to return without complying to the orders of Supreme Court.

The officials of BMC had arrived at scene to begin the process of evicting residents from the illegal flats. The residents kept the opening door shut for the whole time and prayed to be spared by the officials.   

BMC had been following the orders from the Apex Court and the entire process had to be filmed to be secured as evidence. The strong bond of people restricted the officials from entering the compound.

Beas Tragedy Revived: Know What Happened When 10 Students Were Stranded In Tenughat Dam Reservoir

The monsoon has come as a scourge for some people in Jharkhand. At the time when the pain given by Beas tragedy is still hasn’t faded away, ten students are trapped in Tenughat Dam reservoir at Bokaro as water had been suddenly released into it on Friday evening.

The BDO of the area ordered to close the flow of water as soon as he was informed about the stranded youngsters. These children were stranded for about 10 hours and water level in the river kept on increasing. At last they all were rescued at around 11 pm in the night.

Woman Arrested For Smuggling Gold By Hiding In Undergarments

 

The custom officials at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi arrested a woman for trying to smuggle gold.

 

The woman has hid the gold bars in her undergarments. The custom commissioner Neeta Butalia said that the woman reached terminal-3 from Dubai by flight SG-19 of Spice Jet Airlines.

 

As the woman was passing through the green channel without any declaration, the custom officials stopped her for frisking.

Shocking Man Stabs Woman 30 Times For Refusing To Marry Him

 

In a horrific incident, a 23-year-old woman Baljeet Kaur was stabbed 30 times in in Okhla, South Delhi by her male friend as she refused to marry him turning down his marriage proposal.

 

The dead body of the victim was found seven days after her murder at a rented house. The 39-year-old accused has been arrested.

 

According to the police, the accused Aneesh has already admitted his crime saying that he was overtaken by his anger.
