Dark Days Ahead For World Cricket, Warns Lalit Modi As N Srinivasan Takes Charge As ICC’S First Chairman

Former IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi has reacted sharply to the ascent of his bitter rival N Srinivasan as first Chairman of the International Cricket Council (ICC), and has predicted “dark days” for world cricket.

Srinivasan, who also co-owns IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and has been accused of conflict of interest in the cash-rich league, assumed office in Melbourne on Thursday.
“It is truly a sad day in world cricket as N Srinivasan takes over as the Chairman of the ICC today,” Modi said in a statement.
