Prime Minister Narendra Modi meets Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif

New Delhi: BJP leader Narnedra Modi was sworn in as India’s 15th Prime Minister, last evening, in the presence of prominent political figures and SAARC leader. The brand new PM has wasted no time and has got down to serious business. 
12:47 pm: Prime Minister Narendra Modi meets Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif at Hyderabad House.
12.41 pm: Pakistan Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif arrives at Hyderabad House to meet PM Narendra Modi
12:20 pm: Nawaz Sharif leaves for Hyderabad House to meet PM Narendra Modi 
11:40 am: Prime Minister of Bhutan Tshering Tobgay meets PM Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House
10:37 am: President of Sri Lanka Mahinda Rajapaksa meets PM Narendra Modi at Hyderabad House
10:30 am:  Prime Minister Narendra Modi announces ex-gratia payment of Rs. 2 Lakh each to next of kin of those deceased in Gorakhdam Express accident, Rs50,000 to injured. He has directed Railway Ministry to ensure relief operaations following Gorakhdham Express accident are carried out smoothly.

9:57 am: After a meeting with Afghan President Hamid Karzai, PM Modi meets Maldives President Abdulla Yameen. 
9:50 am: Prakash Javadekar, who has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting (Independent Charge), said he has called the officials and will take charge around afternoon after holding discussions with them. Javadekar further assured press freedom. 
9:49 am: Arun Jaitley is all set to assume charge as Finance Minister. He will also head the Ministry of Corporate Affairs and Defence. 
9.40 am: Narendra Modi meets Haid Karzai for diplomatic talks.
9.35 am: Afghanistan President, Hamid Karzai reaches Hyderabad House.
9:21 am: Modi reaches Hyderabad House. He is accompanied by Sushma Swaraj, who was just officially announced as the country’s new External Affairs Minister. 
9:05 am: After taking charge as PM, Narendra Modi leaves for Hyderabad House.

9:03 am: Sharif meets Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid, Syed Ahmed Bukhari.

8:44 am: Narendra Modi is enroute to PMO from Gujarat Bhawan. 
8: 40 am: Modi will reportedly hold first Cabinet meet at 6:30 pm. 
8:39 am: Prime Minister Narendra Modi to arrive in South Block shortly. 
8: 35 am: Narendra Modi will meet Afghan President Hamid Karzai at 9:30 am. 
8:15 am: Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Shairf will visit Jama Masjid, hours before his scheduled talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. 
Sharif will visit Jama Masjid at 8:30 am. He will later go to Red Fort. Sharif is scheduled to hold talks with PM Modi at around 12:10 pm. 
8:10 am: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif and other leaders from the SAARC countries today in one of his first engagements after taking charge. 
8:05 am:Modi’s first meeting today will be with Afghan President Hamid Karzai at Hyderabad House at 9.30 am. 
8:00 am: Narendra Modi will today officially take charge of the new government.
