Tamil Nadu Chief Minister seems to be in a great hurry to release the seven convicts in the suicide blast on May 21, 1991 that killed Rajiv Gandhi. Apparently for political gains, J Jayalalithaa wants to see the seven convicts out of prison as soon as possible. Media and human rights campaigners are talking about the mental torture and sufferings the convicts have gone through. But very few know the continuous trauma the families of the victims’ very dragged into. On that night, 16 Tamils were also killed. Since there is no one to drum up their cause, they have become worthless for everyone. The convicts responsible for 17 deaths have a very good prospect of getting released soon, and this has wounded the victim families.
