MODEL RAPE CASE: Mumbai DIG Sunil Paraskar Suspended

 According to sources, the Maharashtra government on Tuesday decided to suspend Deputy Inspector General of Police, Sunil Paraskar, accused of raping a 25-year-old model in Mumbai.

The decision came after Director General of Maharashtra police sent a damning report on the Paraskar episode to the home ministry.

 

The  proposal to suspend the deputy inspector general (DIG-protection of civil rights units) was sent to Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan.

Second Incident In A Week In Delhi, Speeding SUV Runs Over Three People, One Killed

In the second incident of drunk driving in the national capital this week, a driver who was allegedly in an inebriated state ran over his SUV over three people standing near a footpath in Central Delhi, killing one of them.

 

Police said the incident took place near Shanti Van around 11.15 PM Wednesday night when the driver, identified as Satyaprakash and a resident of Rohini area, lost control over the vehicle.

Court Provides Relief To Twinkle Khanna: Anita Advani Refused Copy Of Rajesh Khanna’s Will

The controversy surrounding late Rajesh Khanna’s illustrious bungalow, Aashirwad (now Vardan Aashirwad) continues to hit headlines, but the legendary actor’s daughter and actor, Akshay Kumar‘s wife, Twinkle Khanna has got a relief from the court with the Bombay High Court allowing the former actress to file an appeal contesting Anita Advani’s demand for a copy of the late actor’s will.

 

According to a leading tabloid, Bombay HC has also stayed its previous order that permitted Anita Advani to get a copy of the will.
